My school or faculty is fundraising for a specific cause - how do I select the right one?

Head to the donate page to make a gift for your faculty or school's chosen fund. You will need to first select ‘Faculty and School Priorities’ as the 'Giving Area' from the drop-down menu, before selecting the relevant 'Fund Designation'.

What is Pave the Way?

Pave the Way is the University of Sydney's 24-hour giving day held on Tuesday 18 September, 2018. Between midnight and 11.59pm, alumni, parents, staff, students and friends will come together to support their favourite projects, funds and programs at the University. 

What areas can I support?

This year we will be highlighting world-first research from Dr Valentina Mella into safeguarding koalas from climate change. However, you can choose to make your gift to anywhere at the University. You'll find a drop-down list of popular options on the giving page

How will my donation be used?

Gifts made to Pave the Way go straight to the individual project, fund or program you select and are never re-allocated elsewhere. 100% of your donation goes straight to the cause and there are no administration fees.

I can't see my preferred cause?

If your preferred cause for Pave the Way doesn't appear in the drop-down menu on the giving form, you can call +61 2 8627 8818, Monday to Friday between 9am-5pm, from Monday 20 August, 2018 until Tuesday 18 September, 2018 and we'll process your gift to your chosen cause. 

How can I make a gift?

Thank you for your gift! Gifts are made primarily through the giving page but you can also call our gift hotline on +61 2 8627 8818 to speak to someone directly between 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday. Gifts over $2 are tax deductible and you'll receive an official tax receipt. 

Can I make my gift early?

Yes! You can make a gift on this website or over the phone on +61 2 8627 6734 from Monday 20 August, 2018. 

Is my donation secure?

Our secure gift form uses technology that complies with the highest data security standards and we do not store or access your credit card information. The information you provide is used only by the University of Sydney and not sold to or shared with third parties. For more information, please refer to our Privacy Policy

What is the student telephone program? 

The University of Sydney runs a year-round telephone program to connect current students with graduates and other members of the University community. Between Monday 20 August, 2018 to Tuesday 18 September, 2018, student callers will be reaching out in support of Pave the Way. If you are concerned, you can verify that you are speaking with one of our student callers by checking the number they are calling from is +61 2 9325 0318.

Will I receive a receipt for my donation?

Yes, your official receipt will be emailed to the email address you supply once your donation has been processed. If you don't receive your receipt or want to request a receipt by post, please email Postal receipts take 5-10 business days to arrive in the mail. 

Can I make a gift via the phone? 

Yes. Please call the University's gift hotline on +61 2 8627 8818 (M-F, 9am-5pm). 

My department is fundraising for a specific cause - how do I find the right one?
